I tested these pellets not long ago, but I failed at showing this pellet’s full potential. So I went back to it and challenged myself to a difficult goal that could show the true accuracy of the pellet. I wanted to print a sub-MOA group at 25, ,50, and 100 yards with this pellet. That it, less than .25″ at 25 yds, .50″ at 50 yds, and less than 1″ at 100yds. I’ve yet to do it with any pellet, but I think it can be done with the JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy. For clarification, I’m only going for one sub moa group at each distance regardless of how many attempts it takes.

According to my last test, the best 25yd group came it at about .4″. That’s too large a group to reach my goals. So I decided to come up with a new setup. Since I was currently using a low pressure setup, I tried that.

25 yards-2300psi PW 1:10

4 groups, two sub moa.

50 yards-2300psi PW 1:10

image

Started shooting squirrley, so it was time to come up with something new.

My last setup was 2700psi PW5. I used that and fiddled with it until it started printing small groups

That’s a good example of how the power wheel can be used to squeeze the most accuracy out of the rifle. 2600psi and PW4:5 was used.

25 yards

image

All the groups were good (largest was .4″, but this one was easily the smallest. 25 yards sub MOA- check.

10 shots just at half an inch.

100 yards
I decided to spice things up and go straight for the impossible. I enjoy shooting at 100 yards, and wanted to have a little fun before dark. The wind was light at 0-2 mph 100% value left to right. The first 2 groups were a few inches wide (normal). Then the sun set below the horizon and the wind became absolutely calm. I fired my last 3 shot group for the day…

image

Boom! 3 shots at 0.90″! My first sub moa group at 100 yards. Probably the first group I shot in the absence of wind as well. Hit my goal in only 3 tries. 100 yard sub moa group- check.

10 shots in about 4 inches. Take out the 1 flier, and the size shrinks to about 2 inches. Not bad!

Summary
This pellet is not only super fantastic, it is reasonably priced. A tin on 500 costs a little over $15. You can’t go wrong.
