Well, it’s been a while since I’ve written. Since then, I changed the factory sear to an aftermarket sear from Airguns of Arizona. I highly recommend the change. I also changed my 25 yard shooting location which gave me a solid rest. I highly recommend the change. I’ve also been struck with boredom in terms of testing pellets. More or less, I’m obtaining similar results across the board.  Maybe it’s because I ordered 1000 similar pellets. Who knows. This will finish out the Baracuda/Kodiak series and I can move on to something more interesting. Here we go.

25 yards

I started with the same fill pressure and power setting as I’ve been using- it seems to deliver good results with most pellets. It started off sketchy, but once the rifle found its sweet spot it did fair…

This is the tightest group I’ve ever shot. I thought I was missing, but after I shot the group I checked the scopes alignment. Dead nuts.  I’m calling it zero inches. Off to a good start.

50 yards

I only shot 5 groups at this distance because of humidity induced laziness. Again, once the rifle hit around 2500 psi, it did well.

100 yards

After shooting a few groups, I realized this pellet had some serious potential for accuracy. This is the best group….

This accuracy is replicatable.

Chronograph

The rifle was filled to 2600psi and shot 16 times over the chronograph…

2400/2500psi seems to be the appropriate pressure for this pellet.

Terminal ballistic test

The pellet was fired into 3x2x2 height block.

Entrance hole was 1″. The widest I’ve seen. It was also hotter than I’ve shot before. I’ll blame the size on the warmer block.

No surprise it penetrated the entire block. The pellet began to go off course near the exit

Summary

This pellet is the second best I’ve tested next to the JSB Exact Jumbo Heavy.
